CPT & CPTu
CPTWest operates a state of the art digital system for CPT and CPTu meaning superior accuracy and resolution for all obtained signals. Our depth registration system records at 10mm intervals for improved accuracy, of recorded data, and our digital cones are fully temperature compensated. Calibration data is stored on the cone memory removing any chance of operator error where incorrect calibration data may be used.
– Tip resistance (qc)
– Sleeve friction (fs)
– Pore water pressure (U2)
Pore water dissipation tests can be conducted during a CPTu to measure the dissipation of excess pore pressure created during the downward movement of the cone. The CPTu is paused and the time it takes for the pore pressure to stabilise is recorded.
CPTu filters are saturated in accordance with Australian standards and onboard saturation of the filters and/or cone is available if required.
